Last night was an absolutely fantastic night for me at the Yorkshire Region BIPP 2013 Awards. I won the Traditional Wedding Photographer of the Year and also received the other two remaining Merit Awards in the same category. It’s taken me some time to achieve this and I have quite a few people to thank privately.
The three winning images were among six entered into different categories. All three winning images were taken at Ripley Castle at the wedding of Pear & Phil earlier this year. It was a last minute decision to enter and luckily for me I made the right choice.
What you cannot see in the below images is the choice of paper I had them printed on. It was a fine art paper that beautifully captured the many subtle tones in the winning image and gave the black and white images a tremendous amount of depth.
The Judges were very detailed in their thoughts on the images. Their positive critiques included my printing processes as well. Their feedback was invaluable.
I want to add my thanks to the organisers on the night and to the BIPP in general, thank you.
I also want to thank all the Brides & Grooms, past and present for putting their trust in me.
Now I need to find a place for my trophy!!!!!
